Jesus established the Church that combined all peoples, Jews and non-Jews, into one new group of those who believed in Him.  The Church began after His ascension, when the Holy Spirit came and will end at His return for them.  This group was and is to tell others of Jesus’ death, resurrection and the salvation He offers to all people. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be with the Church until the time of His return to give them comfort, wisdom and spiritual gifts to help each other with life’s needs and encourage each other to know Jesus better and become more like Him. One day, Jesus will snatch away the people of the Church suddenly before God’s direct wrath falls on the world.
