STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
When a person has made the decision to accept the free gift of salvation in Christ, they are given a new eternal life that begins the moment they believe. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit comes to live within the believer and begins to change them from the inside out so that they begin a process of becoming more like Jesus Christ every day. The believer’s thoughts, emotions and choices change to be those of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
The Holy Spirit gives comfort for life’s pains and direction for life’s decisions to the person as they choose to walk in step with Him. The Spirit was given to be with the believer until Jesus returns to earth to be with us physically, or we die and go to be with Him in heaven. He is also given to us as a seal and a guarantee of the future physical and spiritual perfection we will receive when we die, or when Jesus returns to earth - whichever comes first. We have been transferred into Jesus Christ’s present spiritual kingdom and future coming physical kingdom. These are all gifts of our salvation that can never be taken away.
