Does the Bible ever mention ‘aliens’ with the description that we often see depicted in movies, books and other media? Are they described in the sense that eye-witnesses have expressed in their accounts? The answer is both ‘yes’ and ‘no.’ The things that people see and experience have wide variation. Accounts of what many have seen and heard and felt are so numerous that it doesn’t make sense to simply sweep all of these occurrences under the rug as either hallucinations, lies or military exercises. No doubt these account for some explanations, however, many have the markers of true experiences that deserve a listening ear and a discerning mind. Just as important as it is to have at the very least an openness to the reality of experiences, it is just as imperative to be skeptical of the explanations these entities have been said to give of their own natures, existence and purposes.
Some of the entities that people describe are similar to what the Bible talks about, and some are not. However, the experiences of those who encounter these beings follow a very important Biblical narrative that starts from the first book of the Bible and ends in the last. These entities are a part of our past, present and future, and their presence is not by chance or, (for those with nefarious intentions), without a distinct thread that seeks to unravel humanity’s identity and purpose at every turn. They are a part of our story.
The Proto Homo Sapien - Who am I?
Proto: first, original, relating to a precursor. Greek.
Homo sapien: wise or rational (sapien) man (homo). Latin.
Before we ask who ‘they’ are, we need to know who ‘we’ are. The explanation given of the origin of homo-sapiens from the perspective of ancient alien or ancient astronaut theory, is often one of other beings from other planets or dimensions coming to earth as our progenitors and creating humanity out of their own DNA (or whatever building blocks they consist of). In some tellings of ancient accounts, these beings used a less evolved form of human-like beings as part of their building blocks. In other versions, we were produced from a combination of their own genetics and ingenuity. And in some stories, the purpose of our existence was to become their slave class. All of these ideas actually have truly interesting corresponding, (although different), explanations and accounts in the Bible. But none of the biblical accounts have to do with the original creation of humankind. In the biblical account, the part of history that corresponds more with the ancient astronaut tale, comes later in humanity’s story.
Many times the renditions of the accounts from an ancient alien perspective are not pictures of love. They are pictures of base necessity, lust, greed, exploitation, servitude and enslavement. Such a picture fits in well with the core tenant of evolutionary theory - survival of the fittest. Ancient alien theory dovetails well with Darwinian Evolution, because while it makes an attempt of understanding the physical aspects of humanity, it still has no satisfying answers for the thinking, feeling, willing, caring, processing, acting, rationalizing and loving mind of man.
Adam and Eve were real people - the proto homo sapiens of long ago. In fact, the identity and reality of these first humans, is completely entwined with not only the origin, but also the destiny of humanity. The account of humanity’s beginning, says that after God molded, shaped and prepared a habitable environment, He then created Adam, not from another life-form, like a being from another world or an organism from this one, but from the earth itself. “Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being (Genesis 2:7).” Mankind’s physical body came from the dirt. And mankind goes back to the dirt when we die. In the next chapter in Genesis it says, “By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return (3:19).” The Hebrew word for ‘ground’ in these verses is ‘adamah’. Look familiar? Yes, Adam, the proto homo sapien, was named after the dirt his body came from.
Why does this matter? Because the Bible claims that humanity is intrinsically connected to the ground we walk on. We were created from the elements of this world, and are inseparably connected to it. We did not come from another world, and were not seeded by other beings who did. We are earthlings. This planet is our home, from beginning to end. Our origin and destiny are completely connected with it. This is where we belong. This is where we will always belong.
But it’s important to note from the Genesis account that it is Adam’s body that was created from the dust. It’s our physical aspect that is connected to the earth itself. The word for ‘dust’ in Hebrew is ‘aphar’, and means ‘dirt, dust, debris, dry soil, rubbish, rubble.’ Not a very pretty picture. But humanity is not a collection of cells that was formed over time from random processes of natural selection through the development of other creatures that eventually became us. How very depressing, and worthless that would make us all. But we didn’t just pop out of the dirt either. God formed man. The Hebrew word for ‘formed’ is ‘yatsar’ and means to ‘form, fashion, plan, ordain, make’. It is also the same word that is translated, ‘potter, pottery, earthenware.’ What an incredible picture! God took the most seemingly worthless, unnoticed, often abhorred, brushed off, stomped on, mundane substance, put it on a pottery wheel and carefully crafted the most incredibly beautiful beings. It is the true picture of beauty from ashes. God didn’t just carelessly step back and watch the processes of evolution form people. God created humanity with hands-on thought, precision, care, love and direction. He was directly involved with forethought and got His hands dirty in the mud for us. What an incredible picture of His love for us. Humanity is so incredibly valuable to Him.
The Bible says that in the beginning the God created humankind in His image as His image-bearers. This is our Identity. This statement not only included the reality that humans are like God in that they are relational, self-aware, creative, emotive, intelligent, spiritual, self-directed and so many other qualities, but also the position and authority to rule the earth as God’s representatives. This is our Purpose. “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’ Genesis 1:27-28.
After God had created the human being’s physical body from the dust of the ground, He then added the spiritual aspect of mankind. “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” Genesis 2:7. The Hebrew words ‘living being’ “lenepes” are the ‘soul, self, life, creature, person, appetite, mind, living being, desire, emotion, passion.’ So this verse doesn’t simply mean that Adam’s heart started pumping and his lungs began breathing in and out. It means God gave him a ‘soul’. In the Bible, the soul is our mind, will and emotions. It is not simply what we are. It is who we are.
What this means is that you and I are far more meaningful and valuable than something that came from random a-moral ambivalent uncontrolled processes. This means that God created humanity with care, thought, purpose, individuality and love. And not just humanity as a whole. Each of us. He specifically designed you as you. He loves you. Back in Genesis 1:27, we are told God created us ‘in His image.’ One of the very important aspects of who God is, and how He made us to be like Him, is that He created us for relationship. Relationship with each other, and with Him. He wants for us to know Him, the way He knows us. “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is too high, I cannot attain to it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” even the darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.” Psalm 139:1-18
You are not a product of a random evolutionary processes or the seeding of alien ancestors. You are known by God, loved by God, designed by God - to be specifically you and to lead a life of meaning and purpose.
The Proto Reptilian - Who is he?
Does the Bible have anything to say about the idea of Ancient Aliens? You might be surprised to know that it actually does. The Bible’s account of the origins of man, however, do not talk of aliens coming from another planet to seed humanity here. Rather it talks of specific appearances of inter-dimensional beings in ancient times who came to earth years after God created mankind and our family had multiplied on the earth. They came to genetically alter human DNA by inserting their own into the human gene pool. Their goal was to destroy the image of God in man, wipe out our identity and purpose, to prevent Jesus Christ from being born, and to eliminate the possibility of our having an incredible eternal destiny.
But from the start, one specific inter-dimensional being wanted the rule of the earth for himself. Genesis tells us that a being described as a walking talking serpent (‘nachash’ in Hebrew) came into the perfect world that God created for the humans, and tempted them to do what God told them not to do. The being’s method was to question what God had said, counter what He had said, and then convince them that God was a liar who wanted to hide illumination from humanity. Because if they had this illumination, then they would be on equal standing with God. What was this reptilian’s intent? Was he trying to set them free from God’s enslavement of their minds? Not at all. He knew if they gave into temptation, they would lose their right to rule the earth. And if they weren’t in power, someone else could be.
He was correct about how this would benefit him, you know. The Bible tells us that he, (a walking talking snake-like creature often called Satan), convinced Eve, who convinced Adam, to reject God’s instructions. They gave in and disobeyed their Creator, and began the great cosmic unwinding of the universe causing everything to begin to fall apart. Everything was designed to perfection. But evil, darkness and self-seeking entered into the perfect Creation and started to unravel, compound and destroy everything. The world became broken on every level - environmental disaster, relational dysfunction, power-grabs, health decline and on and on it multiplied. The humans were sent away from the garden they lived in, were separated from the God who loved them, and entered a world that was out of their control. Their rule was greatly diminished.
God could have just let them suffer the massive weight of their destructive choices and walked away. But instead He promised to send someone to rescue them. Someone who would have to be born from the biology of humanity. “And I will put enmity, between you [serpent/Satan] and the woman [Eve], and between your seed [fallen angels, demons, nephilim and the Antichrist] and her seed [Jesus]; He [Jesus] shall bruise you [serpent/Satan] on the head, And you [serpent/Satan] shall bruise him [Jesus] on the heel” Genesis 3:15. A battle would ensue between the descendants of the nachash [snake/Satan] and the descendant of humanity [Jesus’ Christ]. The serpent would be able to cause harm to humanity. Even though it seemed he succeeded with the death of Jesus, when He rose again, Jesus stomped on Satan’s head defeating him. This began the process of restoring the rule of earth to humanity. This verse in the Bible is called the ‘Protoevangelium’, the ‘first Good News’. When Adam and Eve first disobeyed God, He immediately promised them that He would save them. Their rebellion, their sin, now separated them from God, and brought death into the world. But God loved them, wanted to restore this relationship with any human who wanted it. So God promised that He would send one in their line, a human, to save humanity. In opposition to this God’s promise, the proto-reptilian had to find a way to use his descendants to stop the promised Rescuer from coming into the world, saving mankind, and restoring the control of the earth to us.
Who is this walking talking snake-like being? Some have suggested he was a human looking angel who just had a snake-like character. But is there any evidence in the Bible that might indicate that he actually looked as snake-like as he acted? First off, it’s important to understand that the idea of being conniving like a snake, comes from the behavior of this being. Snakes are not intrinsically sneaky devils. So the character trait was added as a result. Therefore it makes sense that he had a reptilian appearance, causing the character trait to be connected to ‘snakes’ later. When God punished the snake-like creature for his actions, God cursed him to crawl on the ground. “On your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life” Genesis 3:14. This suggests he was originally, actually a walking talking snake.
But Satan himself is seen later on in the Bible walking about on the earth. “And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking back and forth in it” Job 2:2. So how did this happen? If God, cursed Satan the reptilian to slither on the ground, how is he seen later upright again, walking around? 2 Corinthians 11:14 says, “...for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” The Greek word for ‘transforms himself’ is “metaschēmatízō,”, which means “to transfigure or disguise.” Satan, and other angels, are seen in the Bible with the ability to shape-shift... Satan’s shape-shifting abilities are used throughout scripture right in line with His character. He doesn’t just shape-shift into a physically beautiful creature, but he uses this form in His attempts to beguile the world.
Another interesting aspect to consider is the environment where God, Adam, Eve and the Snake were interacting. There was God, who is a spirit, but was walking in the garden. “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day...” Genesis 3:8. There were Adam and Eve who were perfect humans with undying bodies and untainted souls. And there was the Snake, who, throughout scripture is connected with Lucifer, Satan, the Devil, the Dragon. “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” Revelation 12:9. He was some kind of a fallen angel. The Garden of Eden had to be both in the physical and spiritual realms simultaneously for this to be true, which could mean that either the sins of mankind separated the realms, or that the sin of mankind makes it so that we can no longer perceive the spiritual realm, or perhaps dimension(s) as easily. Whichever is the best way to describe it, our experience of the physical and spiritual are not what they were designed to be. They have been altered or disconnected from one another in some way. But it is promised that the events, realities and effects of Jesus’ death, resurrection, ascension and second coming will put all of the unraveled mess back to what it was originally designed to be. And ultimately, it will be re-formed again.
Lucifer (Satan/the Snake), is described with glorious beauty in his original created form in Ezekiel 28, before he decided to disobey God. “You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, until iniquity was found in you” Ezekiel 28:12-15. Lucifer was beautiful, good, majestic, important. He either wore clothing, a covering, a veil made of precious stones, or perhaps his skin was made of them. He had important responsibilities in the heavens. He was a musician. He was a “cherub(im)” who covered. He lived in the Garden of Eden with God.
The word “cherubim” means a winged bull or winged griffin. In the descriptions of these creatures in other sections of the Bible, they often have a chimera look - perhaps a body of a man with one or more animal heads. Or the body of one animal with the head of another. When we hear of Lucifer, or Satan, he is often referenced as a fallen angel. From our memories of art history in western civilization class, we think of angels as beautiful humans with ripped bodies and flowing wings. We think they are like us, just a better version. But this isn’t the 'nachash’ description. He is a walking talking beautifully precious-stone adorned winged creature. It would make sense why he is called a Dragon.
Other ‘Aliens’ - Who are they?
There is another angelic creature that fits Satan’s description even more closely. It is the “seraph(im).” In a famous old church hymn, cherubim and seraphim are two creatures are mentioned in one of the verses. It says, ‘seraphim and cherubim falling down before Him’ in their worship. A “seraph” in Hebrew is literally a flying fiery serpent. In some places in the Bible this Hebrew word is translated this way when it is referring to animals on earth. But when it is referencing angels, they are merely called the seraphim. And once again renaissance paintings come to mind. These must just be beautiful flying humanoids. But it fact, the Bible tells us these majestic creatures are chimeras. And some quite directly sound like what you see on Egyptian and Mesopotamian hieroglyphics. Dragons are worshiped all over the world, and flying dragon human hybrid gods are worshiped by many ancient cultures. Today, reptilians are seen in our modern sci-fi movies, and people who claim to have seen these aliens, sometimes say they have interacted with reptilians.
The point is simply this. If these creatures have been believed in and cataloged down through history, and people talk of seeing and even conversing with reptilian aliens (though I hear they aren’t very nice) today, wouldn’t it stand to reason that everyone could be talking about the same creatures or at least related creatures? To put it more bluntly, are the reptilian aliens that people see today, actually angels, but we just have created a narrow image of what ‘angels’ are supposed to look like in our minds?
Because some of these types of angels have left their designated realm in order to descend and receive the worship of humanity in our perceivable dimensions, this would make them evil ‘fallen angels’. “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day” Jude 1:6. God set specific boundaries for the his angelic ‘sons of God.’ When they leave this domain, (the location God designated for them), or go outside of their job description (the jobs God has given them to do), or morph out of their designed appearance (to deceive humanity), then God has judged them in the past, and will judge them in the future.
The Bible talks about a variety within the ‘heavenly hosts’. There are angels (messengers), watchers, fallen angels (chose to sin against God), chimera cherubim, reptilian seraphim, angel-human hybrid nephilim (giants, rephaim), rapha (disembodied giants / demons), archons (military rank), principalities (military rank), powers (military rank), rulers (military rank), spiritual hosts of darkness (military rank), tiny manticore, even satyrs and possibly lion-men.... It is true that descriptions of some of these creatures have symbolic meaning, however, this doesn’t mean that this isn’t also their true appearance.
And if the experiences of people, both in history and today, align with similar entities, doesn’t it make sense to believe that the Bible is describing what some people today might call extra-terrestrials? But instead of the Anunnaki from Nibiru, the Bible is placing these creatures within the context of spiritual and physical realms and dimensions, (as inter-dimensionals), and explains their identities and purposes through the eyes of God, as opposed to whomever they might be deceptively presenting themselves as at the time of their appearance. In ancient times they were ‘gods’. In modern times, they are ‘aliens.’
The Book of Revelation says that Satan the Dragon took one third of the angels to be on his team. “Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads. His tail swept a third of the stars from the sky, tossing them to the earth.” Revelation 12:3-4. Stars are often representative of angels in the Bible (Job 38:4-7). This sounds like one event, and it isn’t described anywhere else in the Bible. It may be that one third of all the heavenly hosts chose to go with Satan in one moment. It could be that it is simply describing that this number who have chosen to go against God, are all on Satan’s side. It is clear from scripture, that he is the highest authority in this group.
‘Aliens’ of Yesteryear - Who were the giants?
There are interesting descriptions of the ‘fallen angels’ activities that should be looked at in light of the ideas presented by modern day ufology and ancient alien theories. After Adam and Eve were banished from Eden, they went out to populate the earth. The evil in the world increased so much over the centuries, that eventually everything humanity did was wicked. It was certainly as a result of their own rebellion towards their Creator. But the rapid advancement of evil had a second cause. A few chapters later, Genesis 6 describes another group of inter-dimensional beings who devised a plan in an attempt to halt the birth of the coming Rescuer and steal humanity’s authority over earth.
The Bible, that ancient book that has parts that were written between 1,900 and 5,000 years ago, includes accounts which fit well with other ancient histories, and many scientific, historical & spiritual findings from all around the world. Sometimes the most obscure texts in the Bible, that are often skipped over in teaching because they are “too strange,” contain some of the keys to humanity’s past, present and future.
Many ancient texts from cultures around the world speak of the world being created by a god, gods, spirit or spirits who created the earth and its inhabitants to be like him/them. These human creatures were then given control over the earth. Then lesser gods or spirits became jealous, and came down to earth to procreate with human women, so that they could create offspring of their own that would be like them. This way they could have creatures like themselves to rule over the earth. Over time, the world was filled with violence, and the original creator decided to destroy the entire earth with a flood. Believe it or not, this is also the account that the Bible tells. And these themes are found in the origin stories of the Navajo, and the Sumerians, the Egyptians, Greek Mythology, Roman Mythology, Norse Mythology, any superhero movie or alien movie you’ve ever seen....
The Bible’s specific account of ancient history tells of a Creator who created humanity ‘in his image’ with representative authority to rule over earth. Over time, beings called the ‘sons of God’ (the Watchers in Enoch), decided earth women were beautiful and came into earth’s realm to procreate with them. The ‘sons of God’ in Hebrew texts are angels. The resultant offspring were giant half ‘god’ half ‘man’ hybrids called the Nephilim. According to the book of Enoch, the Watchers and their giant Nephilim children taught humanity all kinds of evil.
Genesis 6:1-4
“Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”
God had to destroy the world and its evil inhabitants, not simply because people were sinners, but because they procreated with angels to create hybrid offspring! This changed the design that God had for humanity and altered the image of God in man. It destroyed humanity’s Identity and Purpose even further. The book of Enoch tells us that these fallen angels also advanced pre-flood society in new and better ways of doing evil. Only one family was allowed to survive to repopulate the earth. “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day” Jude 1:6. “For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly...” 2 Peter 2:4-5.
Some have cited the Matthew 22:30 to question the angels’ ability to procreate. “At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.” However, this is what these angels did. They left heaven and had sex with human women. The appearance and anatomy of these particular angels is not described, however their offspring are described as giants, so it would follow that they were different from humans in appearance somehow. It is not known if they transformed themselves, (as Satan did), to look like humans and be more attractive to the women, and even changed themselves to have the same anatomy and function to copulate with them. But whatever the did worked. And the result of their union was giants. It is important to note that most encounters that humans have with angels in the Bible, the have a human appearance. Sometimes the people they come to are surprised and realize they are angels, but at other times, they think they are human, only to discover they are angels later. There is not a reference where these human-like angels have wings as depicted in paintings, they do appear and disappear, so there is the idea that they fly or beam in and out of our dimensions. In the case of the Nephilim in Genesis chapter 6, it seems most likely that they either were created with a human appearance, or that they were able to transform, but their resultant offspring were wicked giants who influenced humanity toward evil.
This saddened God so much that He destroyed the earth and all of its inhabitants with the great worldwide flood of Noah’s day. If you are familiar with the Bible, it is the account of Noah who built the ark, and the animals came and filled it up two by two. He was only man who listened to God, and others mocked him. But instead of heeding Noah’s warnings, the other people just went on with their parties and their lives. The Bible says that Noah was “perfect in his generation” Genesis 6:9. Many have suggested that he was the only good man. But we know from the account of Noah’s life, that he was a sinner, jut like everyone else. And just like everyone else, it was his faith and trust in God, that was accounted to him as righteousness, (not any inherent goodness of his own). The word ‘perfect’ in the original Hebrew actually carries with it the idea that he was ‘without spots or blemishes, undefiled, without defect’. Some believe this could mean that he was the only human whose genetics were untainted by the fallen angels, so God allowed him to be the one who re-popluate the world with pure genetics again after the flood.
The offspring of the ‘sons of god’ were wiped from the earth. Their bodies died, but their spirits remained, and roamed the earth harassing and indwelling humanity to this day. These are the demons spoken of in the New Testament. Do these ‘watchers’, these creatures from another realm, still exist? Do they still break into the earthly realm and interact with humans? Will they come back? Will they try to procreate with humanity again? Have they been here all along? Because these angels chose to leave the domain that God designated for them, and alter the image of God by inserting their own genetics into the human genome, God judged their sins by chaining them in the abyss.
The Giants After the Worldwide Flood
Genesis 6:4 states that, “There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward...”
There are other accounts of giants in the Bible who reappeared after the flood. It is not known specifically if the fallen angels did the same thing after the flood, or if somehow some of the genetics were still transferred within the human line from before the flood. Noah took his wife, his three sons, and their wives with him on the ark. So eight people survived the flood. Some have speculated that one of the wives had some of the giant’s genetics. Ham’s wife has been the most common candidate put forward because it was from their descendants that the other giants came who populated the Israel while the Israelites were in Egypt, and were the giant clans who fought with the Israelites when they came back. They were most notably the Canaanites (Phoenicians), the Amorites, the Anakim and a number of other’s who were listed.
When Israel returned from Egypt after their long journey in the wilderness, twelve spies were sent into the land of Israel to scope out the inhabitants (Numbers 13). Ten returned saying that the people were too large to overcome. Two returned with confidence that God would help them take back the land that He promised to them. “But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight” Numbers 13:31-33. Note that these verses say that the ‘land devours its inhabitants’. Many ancient cultures report that the giants their ancestors encountered ate humans.
Joshua and Caleb went into the land leading the people and were able to overcome it’s inhabitants because God helped them. After defeating many giant cities, they came to king Og’s domain in Bashan. He is one of the Amorite kings whose height is specifically mentioned specifically in the Bible. “And at that time we took the land from the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were on this side of the Jordan, from the River Arnon to Mount Hermon (the Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir), all the cities of the plain, all Gilead, and all Bashan, as far as Salcah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan. For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the giants. Indeed his bedstead was an iron bedstead. (Is it not in Rabbah of the people of Ammon?) Nine cubits is its length and four cubits its width, according to the standard cubit” Deuteronomy 3:8-11.” His bed was over thirteen feet long and six feet wide.
If you are familiar with the story of David and Goliath later on in Israel’s history, David fought this giant because he trusted that God would save Israel. “And a champion went out from the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, from Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. He had a bronze helmet on his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail, and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of bronze. And he had bronze armor on his legs and a bronze javelin between his shoulders. Now the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam, and his iron spearhead weighed six hundred shekels; and a shield-bearer went before him” 1 Samuel 17:4-7. Goliath was 9’ 9” tall. He was also said to have six fingers and six toes on each foot, which is a common marker found among the giant skeletons that have been excavated around the world.
What do these giants have to do with aliens? The Bible states that they were a product of humans and fallen angels. They were hybrid beings produced by earthlings, and someone from another dimension. Many think that Big Foot and other such creatures are descendants of these ancient giants. And it is interesting that some who have reported seeing Big Foot type creatures, have said that alien grays and spaceships were also a part of what they witnessed. For some reason, the findings of giant bones all over the world have a mysterious tendency to disappear. They have been found everywhere, but often the authorities in the area are said to come and whisk them away. Why the secrecy?
Ancient alien theory, of which there are many variations, speaks of another ‘race’ or ‘races’ of beings who long ago created humanity using their own biology. In some theories, this was through either mating with pre-human creatures or injecting their own life force into humans by other means. Some tellings of this story in history contain benevolent beings who simply wanted to create a new species. In other tellings, these more malevolent progenitors wanted to produce a slave class to serve their own purposes. But in either case, these ‘aliens’ came before us, and thus have some control of us because they are more knowledgeable from their much longer history and experience of what’s out there in other dimensional realities or astral planes.
Such a view is believed by many within the UFO community, and many seek the guidance of such beings with the belief that they know more than we do, and can help us understand our origin, our future and our purpose. But it is more than just a view that these people hold. Many have made some sort of contact with beings who have affirmed this belief in history, and these beings are happy to help answer such existential questions. Many humans have left behind the crutch of man-made religions based upon blind faith, in favor of something outside of themselves that actually talks back.
Unfortunately, many in more recent centuries were never told in their religious institutions that the Bible, and other ancient histories, do actually talk of ancient beings who seeded creatures on this earth. Who did infect ancient humanity with their own material and created something like themselves. Modern tellings of origins have left out what people used to know, before science became a battle of Evolutionary Theory vs. a Reaction to Evolutionary Theory. More and more people are beginning to have real life experiences with life forms that don’t tell the story of either the typical “lightning strikes the goo” version of Evolution, or a religious story of humanity’s beginnings which leaves out the ‘strange sections’ in the Bible. Many are re-discovering and giving more credence to the things people used to believe.
Other Hybrid Entities
The book of Enoch, that is referenced in the New Testament of the Bible also speaks of how the angels who fell in Genesis 6 also created all kinds of chimeras - not only angel-human hybrids, but also angel-animal hybrids, and angel-human-animal hybrids. Because of this, many think that the pictures we see in the hieroglyphics of ancient peoples around the world may not have been symbolic imaginations as some suggest. So when we look at the artwork of the Egyptians, some of the people aren’t drawn larger than others because they were symbolically more powerful. They actually were giant beings. And when you gaze upon Anubis, with his human body and jackal face... maybe this was a creature these people actually saw. You might be surprised at the skulls and bones that have been excavated out of the earth, and whisked off to secret locations. And remember, in the Bible, the cherubim are described as having human bodies and animal heads as well.
“Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the color of burnished brass. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle” Ezekiel 1:5-10
“And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come” Revelation 4:6-8.
In both of these descriptions, the writers have been taken up into heaven in a vision to view a scene. These are descriptions of cherubim, who were considered to be real creatures in ancient times. Most certainly the four living creatures represent aspects of God symbolically. But if heaven is the place of their assigned domain, then we shouldn’t expect to see them on earth. And if they appear here, they would be out of place, and revered for their power and beauty. Descriptions from people who have traveled into the astral realms, sometimes contain creatures with human bodies and animal heads. Are all the people who see such things simply on acid trips and having hallucinations? Why would they have the same hallucinations as other people? Why would the Nazis decades ago and scientists from Silicon Valley at Burning Man today receive actual downloads of actual advanced information from higher beings that they sometimes consider to be alien life? How would actual science result from an unreal dream or a simply being high?
The Bible strictly forbids the practice of ‘divination’ or trying to seek information or higher knowledge through occult means. “There will not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch” Deuteronomy 18:9. It also foretold the use of mind altering drugs in connection with this practice. It is called 'pharmacia' in the book of Revelation - the book of the End. “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived” Revelation 18:23.
The Behavior of the Grays
There is nowhere in the Bible where short skinny gray creatures with giant heads and big almond eyes are described. There are a number of explanations put forward for the existence of the grays-the most commonly portrayed aliens in pop culture and ufology circles. First, it is important to note that the Bible calls the entire group of angelic messengers - the heavenly host. It could just be that God hasn’t described in the Bible every last being, because they weren’t relevant to the message. Since at least some angels are said to have the ability to transform themselves, or shape-shift, it could be that they are portraying themselves in this form for a particular purpose. Some have suggested that they could be a ‘creation’ of the fallen angels who have somehow altered God’s building blocks to make them.
One thing that is truly interesting about them however is what people have observed and experienced when they have encountered them.
Many times when reading about alien encounters, there are some common themes that come up that bear thinking about in light of the history that the Bible gives us. One important experience of those who describe abduction, is that of having some physical type of surgery happening to them. Often it has to do with the removal of sperm or ovum. If you think about the goals of the Genesis 6 fallen angels, they had to do with altering the image of God in man by creating their own offspring. Could it be that the ‘aliens’ of today have the same goals in mind? Maybe they aren’t procreating directly. But it could be that they are hard at work once again trying to alter the human genome. Some of the sites of abduction or animal mutilation seem to have possible connections as well. Enoch said that the fallen angels also changed the animal kingdom by creating chimeras there as well. It’s possible that grays today, or other fallen angel types of beings, are still seeking to distort and destroy everything that God has created, both in hatred of Him, and to seek worship for themselves.
Another interesting experience for some who have encountered grays and described abduction is that of paralysis. Awake, but unable to speak or move, short sinister grays will float them out of their bedroom. It is a terrifying experience and one accompanied with a feeling of darkness and evil. There is a very similar comparison for those who have experienced awake or sleep paralysis in connection with demonic experiences. Often wide awake, cannot move or speak, and sensing and sometimes seeing a dark force inside their room. It would appear that these dark forces, the demons and the grays, are on the same team. They use similar methods to immobilize, terrify, and sometimes assault their victims. What they could be doing with the sex organs of humans is the same ancient alteration of the identity and purpose of man to destroy God’s image, and create something in their own image that will worship them instead. This was the goal of Satan from the beginning, the goal of the fallen angels in Genesis Six, and is their ultimate goal at the end of the age before the Second Coming of Christ.
The End of the Age and Aliens
Satan and fallen angels attempted to destroy the Jewish Nation so the prophesied Rescuer couldn’t come. They were unsuccessful. Israel lived on through many occupations, and Jesus was born, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of humanity, rose again defeating death, and ascended to the right hand of God in victory. At His Second Coming, He will return to earth to judge Satan, the Antichrist, the False Prophet and anyone else who aligns with them. He will then set up a 1,000 year reign of peace and justice on earth. Their goal before He comes, is to enslave as many humans as possible, and trick them into worshiping them instead. They think if they can pull this off, and get enough people on their side, they will be able to defeat Jesus when He returns, and they can take control of earth for themselves. But the Bible says at Jesus return, there is no contest. He fights the battle for Planet Earth and wins. The Antichrist, the False Prophet and all humans, angels, hybrids, whatever, who align with them will be thrown into the Lake of Fire forever. And Satan will be chained in the abyss.
Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be before the coming of the Son of Man” Matthew 24:37. When Jesus returns, the earth will become full of evil, and people will be completely oblivious to the judgments that are about to happen to the earth. But in Noah’s time, people weren’t only evil because of their own sins, they were evil because of the evil the ‘Sons of god’ had taught them. Not only will people be evil with their own sins before Jesus returns, but they will also be entertaining the evils of the Antichrist who will be empowered by Satan, a fallen angel (son of God), and the false prophet. They will all be having a great time in Babylon with the other angelic ‘sons of God’ who have made themselves visible again before the end. But just like in Noah’s day, God will judge the earth for its wickedness.
The final kingdom that rises during, or perhaps in the years leading up to the Seven Years, will be a kingdom of Ten divisions. It is symbolized by the 10 toes of the statue in Daniel 2 and the 10 horns of the beast in Daniel 7 and Revelation 12. There is a very interesting verse that gets skipped over in some translations of this 10 division kingdom as it is described in Daniel 2:42-44. “And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.” This verse, (combined with Jesus’ warning that the earth would again be like it was before the flood of Noah), have caused many to believe that the fallen angels, in what ever form they appear in and transform into, and with whatever lies they tell, will attempt once again to alter the human genome and destroy humanity, before Jesus returns.
To put this clearly, something that is not human will try to physically, (through sexual or scientific means), will once again mingle their seed (semen, eggs) with the seed of men. It will be (and quite bluntly, possibly already is) Genesis Six all over again. The rebirth of Israel in 1948 was the kick-start of the prophetic countdown to Jesus’ return. It’s not a coincidence that the crash in Roswell occurred in the same time frame, and that in the 50s the sightings of alien craft began to increase, and has ever since. The demonic realms know what time it is.
One extremely important key to understanding their ultimate goal here, is to understand why God accepted Jesus death in the place of humanity. Jesus had to take on human form so that He could be the one to one replacement for a human. From the beginning, God’s requirement for justice to be served, was life for a life. If Jesus had been a sinful man, when He died, He would have been paying for His own debts to God. But because He never did anything wrong, He could die in place of someone else and pay for their debts. Because He is God, His death and resurrection is powerful enough to take the judgment for all of humanity. But it is a one to one correspondence. It has to be human life for human life. If the fallen angels can alter the human genome, through procreation, through trans-humanism, or through altering DNA, then the result would be someone who is no longer human. If they are no longer human, then Jesus death no longer covers the debts for their sins. They can no longer be saved from hell. This is their ultimate goal.
During the Seven Years, the Antichrist is Spoken of as someone who will rise with intrigue from obscurity, will make a treaty with Israel, seemingly in the name of peace. During this time, the world will be going through what the Bible describes as birth pains, when wave after wave of trauma in every area of life will occur. There will be racial wars, wars between countries, sickness, famine and death. The Antichrist will come up with solutions to problems by bringing the world together, and will institute a ‘mark’ that will enable everyone to buy and sell. This mark will be taken in the hand or forehead. It will seem like the solution to everyone’s problems. But halfway through the Seven Years, he will show his true colors. He will break his covenant with Israel and will set up a statue of himself in the Jewish Temple causing great offense, and will turn on the Jews, seeking their destruction.
The ‘mark’ that he requires for the world, will cost them their soul. It will require that they show their allegiance to him and worship him. Many who choose not to, will die from beheading or starvation. It is thought by some, that because the mark is said to be placed ‘in’ as well as ‘on’ the hand or forehead, and that it causes sores on those who take it, that it will be inserted into the body and will be toxic. Many are concerned it will be some kind of an injection that will alter DNA.
If you do find yourself in the Seven Years, and the government is trying to force you to take a mark in and on your hand or forehead, it somehow connects with allegiance to the ruler of the world, the mark is connected with his name or being, it gives you the ability to buy and sell to take care of your daily needs, and possibly has a medical or pharmaceutical connection....I would suggest you don’t take it. Life may be easier for a moment, or a few years, but you’ll be giving your allegiance to the Antichrist. You will no longer be able to accept Jesus death in your place for you...a human.
Alien-like Activities and Characters
During the Seven Years
The False Prophet, who is a religious side-kick of the Antichrist, will do many signs and wonders (miracles) in the presence of the Antichrist. He will even make the statue in the Jewish Temple speak (Revelation 13). The Antichrist himself will have a wound on his head that will be fatal, or appear fatal, and he will come back to life.
In Revelation chapter 9, the abyss is opened and crazy hybrid creatures come out of it and sting humans for five months. It will be terribly painful, but it won’t kill them. Though perhaps not as large, these creatures bear a striking resemblance to Mantacores from Persian tellings. “Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon” Revelation 9:1-10
Isaiah 13 in the Septuagint (LXX) tells us that during the Day of the Lord (Seven Year Tribulation) when Babylon is destroyed (see also Revelation 18), that giants and satyrs will be on the scene. “The vision which Isaiah son of Amos saw against Babylon. Lift up a standard on the mountain of the plain, exalt the voice to them, beckon with the hand, open the gates, ye rulers. I give command, and I bring them: giants are coming to fulfill my wrath, rejoicing at the same time and insulting. A voice of many nations on the mountains, like of many nations; a voice of kings and nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts has given command to a war-like nation, to come from a land afar off, from the utmost foundation of heaven; the Lord and his warriors to destroy all the world. Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is near, and destruction from God shall arrive”....“It shall never be inhabited, neither shall any enter into it for many generations: neither shall the Arabians pass through it; nor shall shepherds at all rest in it. But wild beasts shall rest there; and the houses shall be filled with howling; and monsters shall rest there, and devils shall dance there, and satyrs shall dwell there; and hedgehogs shall make their nests in their houses. It will come soon, and will not tarry” (Isaiah 13:1-6, 20-21).
There is an event that will occur in relation to the Seven Year Tribulation, that could possibly been seen as connected with aliens. It will quite possibly be framed as a mass abduction by those who don’t want the truth to be known. It is an event many call the ‘Rapture’ a word found in the Latin translations of the text containing this event. It is an event when Jesus Christ will come and ‘gather’, or ‘snatch away’ His followers. The description of this event is that it will happen as fast as a blink of an eye, and millions of people will disappear from earth and go to be with Jesus. “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.
Conclusion & Resources
Over and over again in the New Testament of the Bible, the readers are encouraged to not be asleep as others are concerning Jesus Second Coming. Don’t fall into the traps of the Antichrist, the False Prophet and any alien angels that may appear and tell lies of being our progenitors. They hate you and want to destroy you, and just like the ‘sons of god’ in Genesis 6 before them, they want planet Earth and they want us to worship them instead of God. They want us to believe that we were created in their alien image, instead of in God’s. But He loves us, and created us in His own image so that we can have a personal relationship with Him, and so we can live and steward the Earth He gave us.
“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” Then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him” 1 Thessalonians 5:1-10
THE CHOICE FOR YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY
There is a pastor I know of who likes to explain how to accept this free gift of eternal life for yourself in a way that he calls the ABCs of salvation. Simply talk to God. He loves you, He’s listening and He can hear you anywhere.
A - Admit you are a sinner - that you’ve done things wrong.
B - Believe that Jesus died in your place and took the punishment
that you deserve. And He will forgive you for every sin right now
- past, present and future.
C - Confess with your mouth.
Just pray and tell Him you are accepting His free gift,
and He will give it to you. It’s that simple.

When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer). The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come. The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number. The horses and riders I saw in my vision looked like this: Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulfur. A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths. The power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict injury. The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts
