Timelines & Events
The following are timelines and events given in the Bible detailing the events that will occur leading up to, during and after the final Seven Years of this current age. In Matthew 24, Jesus listed several groups of events, and gave the groups names. The Sections of this website are set up according to these groupings. As you scroll through the website, you will see the following SECTION blocks that follow the overall chronological events given by Jesus that will occur during the Seven Years.
Jesus called the first 3.5 years of the Seven Year period the Beginning of Birth Pains when the whole world will fall into upheaval and the Antichrist will confirm a covenant with Israel and subversively make his way to power on the world stage. This grouping of events are found in Section 3, the Beginning of Birth Pangs, and are described by Him in Matthew 24:4-8. These events can also be found in the Bible in Revelation 6:1-8, Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11: 29-30.
At the mid-point of the Seven Years, a Time period Jesus called the Great Tribulation will begin. The Antichrist will break his covenant with Israel, stop their sacrifices in a rebuilt Temple by placing a statue of himself there called the Abomination of Desolation and will require Israel and the world to take his mark of allegiance in their right hand
or forehead. The Jews who know of this prophecy will flee Jerusalem and be protected by God, so the Antichrist will engage in a global genocide by turning on other Jews throughout the world, Christians and all others who refuse the mark. Section 4 of the website contains the events Jesus described would happen during the Great Tribulation in Matthew 24:9-28. The Great Tribulation is referenced directly in Revelation 7:14, and is described in more detail in 12-13, Daniel 8:11-27, 9:27, 11:31-45, 12 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.
Jesus will cut the Great Tribulation genocide short with a number of cosmic and terrestrial Signs of His Coming. The sun will turn dark, the moon the blood, the stars will fall, and all those within the the tribes of the earth who do not chose Jesus will mourn. But those who have trusted in Jesus will see these signs and rejoice knowing He is coming soon. The whole earth will hear the good news of salvation and of Jesus' coming Kingdom. After these signs, Jesus will come and gather His followers to be with Him. He will seal the 144,000 Jews with the seal of God. These events, which are covered in Section 5 of the website, were spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24:29-51. They are also found as the Sixth Seal in Revelation 6:12-17, and in Revelation 7, Joel 2:28-31, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-52.
Section 6 contains the time period of Jesus' judgment called the End the End of the Age or the Day of the Lord. Many terrifying judgments will fall on the earth with Jesus' return to the earth with the armies of heaven to defeat the Antichrist, the False Prophet and Satan in the battle of Armageddon. Jesus refers to 'the End' in Matthew 24:3,6,14 and Ch 25. A greater description can be found in Revelation 8-10, and 16-20 along with numerous other passages in both the Old and New Testaments.
Jesus will sit on His Glorious Throne in Israel reigning over His Kingdom on earth for 1,000 years. Jesus' reign will be one of peace and justice. After this time, Satan will be released from chains and will incite one final insurrection against God, but will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. All those who follow Jesus will live on in eternal life in the New Heavens and New Earth. This time frame is found in Section 7, was discussed by Jesus in Matthew 25, and can also be found in Revelation 19-22, Ezekiel 40-48, Isaiah 61 and many other passages.
