Allegiance for Survival

The Bible talks about a coming world leader in many passages. See the section on The Evil World Leader for a list of his titles, persona, characteristics and actions. In the book of Revelation written around 95 AD, in chapter 13, the Apostle John speaks of a time when he will rise to power after many horrors have happened on the earth including massive war, famines, sickness and death. There will be signs in the earth like earthquakes and volcanoes and in the skies like meteors. Bad things will be happening everywhere, all over the earth, at the same time. This passage gives a lot of details about how he will come on the scene and most people will follow him and worship him.

He is described in the image of a beast with seven heads and ten horns. The image of the beast and the ten divisions is one that is picked up from Daniel (Chapters 2 & 7) who wrote around 600 BC. This beast was in a succession of beasts that were representative of the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Greek and Roman Empires. This final beast empire is somehow connected with the Roman Empire re-born and somehow so expansive that it covers the earth and has ten divisions. Many believe that seven heads in the description of the beast in Revelation 13 are representative of the seven continents and the ten horns are ten world divisions. It is interesting that today both the Club of Rome and the United Nations divide the world into ten regions.

Revelation 13 reveals something very interesting about the dark side. Throughout the Bible, the leader of the dark is a fallen angel known as Lucifer or Satan, who sought to have the power and worship of the Creator God. But because he is not the Creator, everything Satan does is a copy of what God does. As above so below. This passage reveals that the Dragon (Satan), gives power to the beast from the sea (Antichrist/Evil World Leader), and the beast from the land (False Prophet) does many miracles in his name. Many scholars have noted that this is a copy of the Trinity - the One God in Three Persons - that the Bible talks about. Satan who gives the power reflects God the Father. The Antichrist comes to earth as a savior and comes back to life after suffering a mortal wound reflecting the death and resurrection of God the Son/Jesus Christ. And the False Prophet is a religious leader who gives power to the Antichrist and thus mimics God the Holy Spirit.

This scripture then goes on to talk about how people will be in love with the Evil World Leader, the Antichrist. And at a time of such turmoil, he will come up with a solution to save the world. He will require every human to take some kind of mark in allegiance to him on the hand or head in order to survive. Many are pretty concerned with the direction the world is going right now that is leading toward any sort of implanted tracking device that gives people the ability to be tracked and to be given permission to buy and sell. At some point some day, such a system will be required for humanity in allegiance to the evil world leader so that people going through so many horrible things will be able to stay alive. This leader will be more attractive, and his offer more enticing, than you can ever imagine. He will appear to be the savior of the world. But please understand that to swear allegiance to this wolf in sheep’s clothing will be join the side against God. If you are faced with this decision someday, you must turn to Jesus Christ, even knowing that the Antichrist might kill you for your allegiance to Jesus. If you are connected with Jesus, you will have eternal life. If you align yourself with the Antichrist, even for a brief moment of survival, when Jesus returns to earth, and He will wipe the evil world leader and his followers out. And they will all end up in eternal punishment.

Jesus does not want you to fall into the trap of the Antichrist. You can join Him today and be promised eternal life with Him. Jesus wants a personal relationship with you today. You don’t need to wait, but you need to know a few things first. Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This means every person who ever lived has done things wrong, and turned away from God and has gone their own way. Romans 6:23 says, “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” What we earn, what we deserve for our sins is punishment - separation from the God who loves us in an eternity in hell. John 3:16 says, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son (Jesus) that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life.’ Jesus died on a Roman cross 2,000 years ago in the place of humanity. He took all the sins of every person in the world on Himself, and then died our death penalty in our place. If we put our trust in Jesus, he will forgive us for our sins, and God will accept Jesus’ death for our debt. We will be forgiven forever, and we will have eternal life in Heaven with Him. “All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Just pray to Jesus today and ask His forgiveness for whatever you’ve done, and He will answer ‘Yes!” to your prayer. He loves you so much and wants you to be with Him forever!

Revelation 13

The dragon (Satan) stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast (Antichrist) coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast. People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?” The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.

Whoever has ears, let them hear. “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

Then I saw a second beast (false prophet), coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.
